  • Our £2 Piggy has been emptied and we had £130 odd in it, £120 of which went towards some extra cash spending money for our Thailand trip next Saturday 16th December...

What an amazing amount to raise, considering it was tiny burts of pain here and there that you didn't notice much, and then resulted in a massive amount in Piggy!

He is empty now so I plan to fill him up again in January 07 and I think 2007 is gonna be a proper MoneySaving year where I am going to implement everything I have learnt on this site so it can be the best financial year yet!

No £2 coin will escape me!

woo hoo, after not seeing any for ages, i've had a spurt of the little beauties and had at least one everyday for the last 2 weeks!!

i decided as it's nearly christmas to open the terramundi and see how many i had. although it was nowhere near full, there was £170 in there and so i've now added that to my previos amount and so i now need to update the signature!!!!

  • Hi All, just wanted a bit of a say on this.

I'm just thinking that for me personally it's not the greatest idea, for every £2 I get and put away that just means I'd be £2 closer to having to withdraw more money.

That said, I'm going to start putting £6 per week into my savings account in the spirit of it all :D.

I hope no one takes this as me having a downer on this thread, just my own personal opinion is that I'd rather spend that £2 and put off going to the ATM for as long as possible.

    Cheers

    Energised :)

  • Oh it seems to be taking forever to get things going again. I've been stuck at £240ish for weeks!! Now had a couple more and the magic £250 has been breached. A couple of months to go until the anniversary and I'll see how much I've got. Would like to get to £500 by end of next year (but I'm thinking of all the lost interest with keeping it in a terramundi!)

Keep up the good work everyone :j
  • I might have a go at this it seems like a great idea. The problem is that at the moment every penny we have, we need.

Still, it might encourage me not to buy something for £2 that we don't REALLY need, and therefore save it.

    We'll see...

It's not too late to join is it?
  • Oh and to add...I start with (drum roll please...)

    £0
