Its amazing how many people dont want these coins when i give them out in change. And if i give them out to foreigners, they look at them for about 20 mins trying to work out what they are!
I gave all my customers £2 coins in their change last night, just in case they read this forum lol!

Great idea! Have a new garden and no plants, so mine will be plant fund, which is fairly appropriate since it was Greenfingers who kicked the whole thing off!! Have been promised cuttings from friends etc, but need a few bigger plants to kick the thing off!!Everything in moderation..............including moderation..............0

Are newbies allowed in the £2 club?
I have been following this thread for a few days.
I got £2 the other day and got £4 today in change.
I have been looking for something to do with my £2 coins. I keep £1 and 50p coins in my loose change, anything smaller goes into a bag and when the bag looks worth using I take it to sainsburys and put it in the voucher machine.
Yes they take 7% but I can't be bothered counting shrapnel.
I get a treat with the voucher (6 month old son got an extra present as Christmas last time I cashed in).
I "buy" my sons pocket money off him, I take it out of his piggy bank and then transfer the equivalent amount into his savings book by BACS transfer.
He used to get given a lot of money (something round here makes it lucky to cross a new babies hand with a silver coin) but it has slowed down now he is older.
I need to put the £2 out of my reach so I think I will get one of those tins from ebay. Not really sure what I am saving for (used to have debts of £15k plus but paid them off over time at the expense of a bad credit rating - few defaults on the file). Only have one credit card debt outstanding then I am debt free.0
