i spent £38 yesterday - spoiling myself with a massage - made all the saving worthwhile

I've achieved my goal, partly with the help of £2 saving and with other loose change, mystery shops, misc. lottery wins etc.
I bought my washing machine!
So - time to start again! What if the hokey cokey is what it's all about? :eek:Official "Bring back Mark and Lard NOW! or else (please)" Member 160 -
Well done Minniespender!!
Its great to hear about a success story for the £2 savers club...:j In my opinion, that would be one free washing machine, because before you started putting them on one side, those £2 coins would have just slid out of your purse on "nothing particular" and you wouldn't have noticed them going!:D
Its a great feeling and you should feel pleased with yourself! I felt the same way back in May when I took £170+ on holiday as spending money - it felt like a real bonus cash, and it paid for entrance fees, "treat" meals (both from supermarket - self-catering - and out in restaurants), and other bits and pieces . Now, for the first time ever, I am hoping to get to the end of October and have the money to cover a year's car tax without dipping into other funds... We always manage to "find" it from somewhere, but I always feel resentful because Christmas is so obviously approaching - dark nights, festive lights and decorations all over the place!
- and I can't help thinking that the money in the bank account could be put to better use  - well, this year it can;) , because my car tax fund is in a separate savings account, so I hopefully won't have to dip into the "normal" bank account at all!!:T
Then, I'll be joining the rest of MSE in saving for Christmas...!!!:xmassmile

Well, my £2 coin savings have slowed a bit lately due to having no money and needing every penny
The time has come (as they say)... I will withdraw my £56.47 (lol at the 47p interest :rotfl: ) to try and make ends meet this month and will start again when circumstances allow!! Its sad that it's come to this... but without my £2 savings I'd have absolutely nothing to take as spending money on my holiday in a few weeks time, so its a good thing really :j
