I was feeling a bit tired and teary earlier and my friend said don't worry I've got you a 'happy token', he only presented me with another shiny £2 coin! It worked, I was so happy again! sad huh?!
  • Since I announced that I was saving for holiday spends the whole family are on the lookout. today DD1 told me she had one and did I want it. Trouble was she wasn't giving it me only swapping it for 2 £1 coins!

And one more for me today, plus two over the weekend. I haven't weighed my sealed 'pot of gold' tin lately but pick it from time to time and get a lovely warm glow when I give it a shake and hear my coins rattling inside it.

I keep telling all my friends about my £2 savings and this forum/site and a lot of them are now saving them too.

£36 banked (for the holiday fund - the mortgage will have to await another day!).

There is a forgotten, nay almost forbidden word which means more to me than any other. That word is England.
