Another one to add to the collection. It's going a bit slow the last couple of weeks. I am very tempted to count mine but I want it to be a surprise. How long can I last?

Wow another 3 today. I hadn't really decided what I was saving for but a poster's signature above reminded me that we've booked for center parcs in October half term so I'll save my £2 and 20p's for spending money for our hols.

  • Another 2 from my lovely Dad. Rather than spend them he spent ages scrabbling around in his change to pay the lady at the till. Horray for Dads. (Actually, i'm quite fickle, horray for anyone who gives me a £2!! :rotfl: )

My total is now £44. Woo hoo.
How long til pay day?

I've started saving them in my shop too - I think this is a record ..............

    £34 worth today!

It goes into a special jar and at the end of every month I'm going to take them down to the Council offices (my biggest debt) and tip them on the payment counter. It's not cruel if it's being done to the smug, superior, sour-faced old hags at the Payments Office, surely?

If I get comments the next month I'll pay my shop rent in pennies.........
This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!

Current Pay Off Target : £1500

EBay is the holy grail of Auction Sites, use it to clear your unwanted items and generate you some income to spend on whatever you want. Just don't get addicted like me :)

Another one today, which takes me to £170 overall!:j A big thank you (again!) to Greenfingers for starting this challenge  - when I started my aim was to get to £120 to take on holiday... We go on Thursday and I never would have dreamed that we would have this much "spare" money to spend, via such a "pain-free" method:D . I can now go in the knowledge that we have spending money + a cushion of "just in case..." money;) . Any that is left over when we get back will be going straight back in the bank and saved towards my car tax in October (which is my next target for the £2 savings):T .

Good grief ... it's taken over a week, but I've got one - had to buy it from OH ... after such a barren spell it was worth it. Will I ever get the £150 ish I need for my October spa break??? Not at this rate. Mind you I'm trying not to shop much, so I am limiting my chances ... Oh the joys of money saving. Seriously, tho, at least I've got £64 ... Green fingers, if it wasn't for this thread I'd have ZERO. Must dash ... Green Wing about to start.
