I have been saving £2 coins for ages in a special tin money box which you can only open with a tin opener. The tin holds about 600 £2 coins I reckon and it was nearly half full. I kept it in my hallway in a little recess and to look at it you would never guess that it was a money box and as it was opaque there was no way to tell it had coins in. I ten to ask for £2 in change and when I go to the bank for money I get £10 or £20 in £2 coins. Last night I went to put my coins in and found it had gone, along with my daughter's purse containing about £24 which was her pride and joy as it was unused Christmas money. We have combed the house and can't find it anywhere so I can only assume it must have been stolen. There hasn't been anyone new in the house this week except Gas people putting in a new CH system, but I think that it would be more than their job is worth to steal from a customer don't you? The kids play out and are in and out all the time and the front door is open alot so I guess it could just have been an oportunist but I am GUTTED.Jane
