Managed to get 3 more since Monday all at work. Must stop jumping up and down when I get them. Not a good thing to do when you are 41 and male.
Have now opened a web saver with the Halifax called £2 Savers Club.
Transferred £40 into it and will transfer everytime I get a £2 coin. Then I earn instant intrest on the money. Give the coins to the wife and she can then pay them into currant account or spend them.
She has been informed not to give them back to me. Only new coins that she gets.
Keeps them back in circulation, but with 269 million of them out there, I think we will always have enough to go around unless you live on the Island of St Kilda 80 miles North west off The top of the Isle of skye.;)3.795 kWp Solar PV System. Capital of the Wolds0 -
Now got £6 - getting there very slowly! Still undecided as to what I'm saving for, probably rainy day money!0

Ha ha, have a lovely mental image of grown adults all over the country jumping with joy whenever they get a £2 coin!
My saving has slowed right down recently... only getting one a fortnight on average now as I'm hardly spending/using cash at the moment, although I did get one today, but I'm not expecting any more for a while - unless OH gets one in his change.0 -
swopped £6 of £5 and £1 for three more today the mother outlaw was wondering if I was mad, I think. Still she's happy with fewer in her purse and I'm happy with them in my miffy house - woo hoo!

Ill give this a go! I did try last month and got to £18 before I had to raid it!!
Got 1 in my pocket to start today, I'm going to superglue the lid on saving pot so the only way to get to 'em is to smash my way in!!0 -
I'm £8 now - almost wanted to give a cheer in Tesco Express when I paid with a £10 note and got 2 £2 coins!! ok, that meant my shopping cost £9 something, rather than £5 something, but they are becoming too rare not to save when I get any!
