  • I Love that im not the only one who does this
i have been saving £2 coins since they came out (almost)
a girl i worked with was at the till in work changing money and i had to ask what she was doing. She told me she saves £2 coins ... '' this much makes a tenner ''(mime small pile of coins).... what a good idea i said ... and iv been saving them ever since..... at one stage i hade nearly 4 grand in coins lol.
i dont even take mine to the bank as i know i would spend the so i just keep saving them ...... i bought a jet ski ( not very money saving i know) a few years ago and was able to buy a brand new one with the deposit i had in £2 coins (although i did change them into note first

keep up the good work everyone .... although with so many saving them there will probably be a shortage in circulation lol lol
THESE ARE THE GOOD OLD DAYS ……
    ..…JUST WAIT AND SEE

When I was at the till of the shop at work the other day, I handed over a £10 note and said - if you have any £2 coins in there.....she said no she didn't , but that she collected them herself as well!!

There are a lot of us out there and I reckon that's why i've only got £4 so far!!!!!!

Your posting really made me laugh Greenfingers - thanks for that!!

Have ordered a terramundi today (sorry no, make that 3 - one as a christening present, one for my son's birthday - coz he's hopeless with money - and one for my £2s). Hope it comes soon as had to use £4 of my £2 collection, to pay window cleaner; if in a terramundi couldn't have paid and the window cleaners would have had to come back I'm afraid - sorry!!
When you were born, you were crying and everyone around was smiling. Live your life so at the end, you're the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying! :rotfl:

I dont really qualify - I got a Terramundi pot on October 2005 - treated myself to one as I always seem to buy them for other people and have saved £1, £2, and 50p coins in it since then - Its very heavy and needs to be opened with a screwdriver in the slot and actually prize the top off - then you are left with a pot for a plant. I also save 20p's in small tin for the window cleaner money.
I would love to join but I save more than £2 coins! http://www.terramundi.co.uk/ This site is the pot site
Saving in my terramundi pot £2, £1 and 50p just for me! :j

Thanks for the link, maybe I'll invest once my £2 savings have reached a significant amount to lose the £18.50 to purchase one hehe. For the time being I've used the other link provided a few days ago http://www.enchantedlearning.com/crafts/Canbank.shtml to make my own out of a large coffee jar and have superglued the lid on so the only way to get the cash is to smash the thing when it's full!
