I started collecting last week but forget to let you all know so I am not on the register for the £2 club. Currently have £6 and saving for summer holiday treats. Unfortunatley I don't ever seem to get them and don't tend to spend anymore that £4 during the week and I've little chance of getting a £2 coin change so don't hink I'll save much, but anything is better than nothing.

Thanks Green ifngers for such a great idea!
    May 2015 £10 a day currently £208

Its an incentive to save money, based on the theory of putting little bits away and before you know it you have a decent lump sum. I have always collected coppers, 5ps etc but this is so much quicker! You really don't notice the £2 coins disappearing (I know I'd probably spend them if they stayed in my purse) and then soon (or eventually :rotfl: ) you can put it towards something tangible to enjoy!

*whisper* it also a bit of fun :shhh:

    Hi JT,
Just a choice that it feels good to see a physical horde build up.
Some of us are banking at certain levels in order to reap bank interest, others get more satisfaction from amassing enough to make a real dent in the bills or buy something the money couldn't be found for.
One thing we all seem to be good at is keeping any saved coins sacrosanct once they hit the pot - so means less frittering money sometimes too :A
