I'd be terrified I'd never be able to get it back out again :o Especially as it sounds huge and must hold a fortune!

  • Two more today following Saturday's necessary shopping.

Also had seven sherrif's badges in purse today so am starting to save those two. Greenfingers - you need only count the £2s for the Savers' Club spreadsheet. The sherrif's badges are just making my holiday appear sooner - or is that cheating?
 What if the hokey cokey is what it's all about?

Got 2 more yesterday now gives me £20.

Have been reading through all the other posts and have noticed that people think that there could be a shortage of £2 coins.

Have just been on to the Royal Mint web site and contacted them to find out how many £2 cions are in general circulation. Hope to have an answer within 5 days. If they come back to me I will post the answer here.

If anyone is really desperate to get one you can buy a £2 coin commemorating the Battle of Trafalger for £29.95!!!!

Keep up all the good work with the saving

What a fab idea! I had seen from people's signatures they were saving £2 coins but didn't know where it originated from. Made the effort to find out this morning and it's something I'm definately going to sign up too :)

Mmmm, will need to think what it is going to go towards..... think a goal with these things always helps and makes you less likely to dip into when a bit short!

    Will update sig shortly ;)
  • I have decided to put my £2 coin savings into my ING account month on month. It makes sense to get a bit of interest and I do have an empty sub account there

I get organic veg and meat boxes delivered so don`t get to the shops that often. I think I`ll pay for the petrol with my £2 coins today instead of my debit card. They`ll stay in circulation that way
