why u spendin £160 on groceries for 2 people and no kids?!
where u shoppin?! m&s?!
I think £160 a month on groceries for 2 adults and 2 cats is really good. Its only £40 a week. I'm single and would struggle on that (and no I don't shop extravagantly at all).If you will the end, you must will the means.0 -
thanks staffie
had a no spend day today
going shopping for the weekly stuff tomorrow, thinking of trying lidl, i need tinned stuff anf fruit and veg, never been to lidl before. I have looked on my supermarket but a lot of the deals at present seem to be multi buys and its lots of processed food which i don't buy so i think lidl will be the best option. I have a morisons, sainsburys, somerfield, tesco, aldi, asda all nearby so have lots of choice. Just need to figure out which is the cheapest for what i need. Any advice/tips for the weekly shop much appreciated.0 -
ok, weekly shop didn't go quite as well as i had hoped, i spent about 18 pounds in lidl then about 14 in morrisons because i couldn't get evrything i wanted in lidl. So a total of 32 for the week on groceries. However, i have done my menu and know that i have enough basics for the next two weeks as i tend to cook in bulk. For example thai red curry last night but made 4 portions instead of 2 so froze 2 for next week, am making chilli another night but it makes 5 portions so 3 to freeze. So spent more than i wanted to but have enough for a couple of weeks instead of 1. We'll see how it goes.0
