Sim only at the moment but looking for a new deal - retention's department?

Hi
I'm currently on a Sim Only deal with orange but my phone is fast coming to the end of it's life (it's been going 4 years!) - do i have an leverage with the retention department?
I'm looking for a new deal but really don't care much for the technology in phones so iPhone/HTC is not needed.
Would like to keep the costs down, am currently on £15p/m deal. I thought there might have been some good deals about in January, but no dice so far.
The other option I have are going for something like a "Free" PS3 or XBox. I know they're not free at all but it's a neat way to spread the cost of buying if you're planning to get one anyway.
Any other suggestions of what i can do in my position?

Depending on what phone you want, if it is a cheaper one, you are better buying it yourself and keeping your sim only deal, than taking out a contract. Or you could go for a cashback deal, I just got a Nokia 6300 on a 12 month free cashback deal on a 12 month contract and £50 Quidco.0
