Dont know to omuch about computers and the mobile broadband thing but after a cheap package for my girlfriend where you get the laptop included if possible, she wants to surf and check emails etc on the move. Wont be downloading anything, just for email, banking, shopping etc.
I know there loads of packages/deals out there just wondered if anyone can recommend one to look at
Many thnanks in advance

If it is entirely for simple surfing, checking emails and banking/shopping, you may want to consider the Pocket Surfer as an option - significantly less functionality than a laptop so I would suggest a trip to John Lewis or Maplins to actually see one in action, but once you've bought it it includes 20 hours surfing per month for the first year, or there is a £59.99 one off "lifetime" package you can buy which offers unlimited surfing for the lifetime of the device - this makes it significantly cheaper than dongle options over a longer time. The device works anywhere a Vodafone signal can be found.

(NB - this is NOT a laptop but a web tablet, no sound, (limited java will work), word documents, excel, pdf etc can be read. I would not recommend buying one without seeing it first.0 -
try this link http://www.broadband-expert.co.uk/mobile-broadband/free-laptop/ lists quite a few good deals which one is best will depend on how much your girlfriend is going to use it if she wants a laptop or netbook. In the long run its probably best to go with a 5gb download deal cos it works out expensive if you go for a lesser download limit and she goes over it0
