A&L - £100 incentive - Direct Debit Question

Hello,
I realise that there is already a thread on this but I have a specific question relating to switching of direct debits. Thought I would post a specific question relating to switching direct debits and salary as I think that a lot of people will wonder. Here goes, in order to get the £100 do you;
1. Have to switch all your direct debits? I only want to switch a few as I probably will just close the account after getting the money.
2. Do I have to sitch my salary (I'd rather not).
From what I have read the answer is No to each of these but clarification would be great.
Thanks :T

"£100 will be paid into your new Premier Current Account or new Premier 50 Current Account within 4 months of account opening providing you switch all your direct debits/standing orders to the account and for Premier Current Account have funded at least £500 from a non-Alliance & Leicester account within 11 weeks of opening the account. If you do not have any direct debits to switch you will not receive £100. You must ask to use our Premier Switching Service at application stage."0

I think the OP is asking what happens in practice, not what it says on their website, ie is it possible to 'deselect' all but a few DDs on the list A&L obtain from the other account provider and forward to you and still bag the £100?
I don't think the current offer has been running long enough for anyone to have found out yet (not been running for 4 months has it?).
OP, you could compare the wording on this and the previous offer (previous should be on here somewhere), but I suspect the best approach would be to ask A&L in writing...that way at least you'll have some comeback 4 months from now if the £100 isn't paid.0 -
If you dont want to go down the route of haveing your salary paid in and all DDs moved, why not sign up through Quidco, for the A+L account and their savings account, you get £50.00 cashback for current account and £20.00 for savings account, to cover the £500.00 going in per month, either out in £250.00 then withdraw and put back in again, or multiples of £100.00 and use that £100 5 times, theres nothing to stop you doing it that way.
Ok you dont get the £100.00 but £70.00 better than a kick in the teeth xxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Well I guessed from the wording that ALL direct debits have to be transfered would answer that!0

I'm not so sure. Can't see any specific wording that suggests that. It just seems to suggest that you have to use the 'switching service'.
Thanks for your comment. Would be great to get this confirmed.0 -

Did you find the corresponding T&C's from their last promotion?
I switched 3 standing orders to A&L late last year in order for them to match a £10K overdraft so I could then stooz it. I was able to cross off all my DD's and most of my standing orders and still get them to match the O/D, but whether they'll allow the same in practice for the £100 incentive I don't know (which is why I suggested asking them)?0 -
I would phone them but I'm not in the UK for the next two weeks0

Probably best to read (the latter part of) that thread to see if anyone else was in your position?0 -
I switched 'Most' of my DD's on the last offer and got the £100 incentive. The form gave you the options to choose which ones you wanted to switch. The 2 that I didn't switch were very old ones that were no longer in use.0
