    Its quite easy really. You look at the service history and check up on its veracity. If you can't do that, you can't warrant the mileage.
    If only it were that simple!
    A vehicle’s service history should not be relied on solely to support the mileage claim, as these documents can be falsified.

  • Pretty unusual for a main dealer to maintain falsified records, especially when most are computerised.

    Pretty unusual for a main dealer to maintain falsified records, especially when most are computerised.
    How do you get the details from the dealer?
    What if the vehicle wasn't always serviced by the same main dealer?
    Don't most dealers simply record the mileage at the time of the service? How can they verify the mileage recorded from the previous to the current service is genuine?
