Your welcome hels, as I say just make sure before you glue or tape anything any patterned papers are all the right way up (unlike mine:rolleyes: )
If I didn't explain anything properly or it's confusing do shout.
    Can't wait to see them.

If anyone knows of an easier way to do the ends will they please say or if you make your own and have any tips. It's only just an idea I had and maybe not the best or easiest way to do it but the only way I knew how.
    Thanks.

Not sure if this will help but when I was doing the tube to go inside my 'safe keeping' jars I made the tube to fit into an empty tea light holder with a bit of glue. Didn't need to cover it with paper or anything as it was hidden anyway but if a tube was done that way it would be easy to glue a base to the bottom of the tea light holder and then put some paper round the bottom of the tube (hope that makes sense)

Thank you mary it does help loads, I've been going round the house looking for something small enough to fit in but can't find anything as yet.
I can't really make the tube any wider as the eggs will be bobbling about and look lost. With your suggestion if I could find something that fits it would make it all so much simpler. Thank you very much for the idea, I'll scour the house.

The tealight holder will be fantastic for any bigger ones and I've got about 100 of those here.

soblivion - well I used the tea light holder as it saved me cutting and messing about putting a bottom on the tube.........I always make a mess of stuff like that.............lol

Thankyou Soblivion for the step by step instructions ...

Now another question and I probably sound really thick ... what is the best kind of double sided tape to use? all the stuff I have is quite thick i.e padded a bit like the double sided sticky pads if that makes sense!

I can't tell you what it's called Rusty, cos I've thrown the label away sorry, it's a super sticky one, very thin and it has a red backing paper that you peel off. It's not invisible as such but it's not bad. It's like cellotape thickness.
This isn't my ebay but just for a picture, it looks very much like this.

I did try a thicker one, it wasn't padded but it was quite noticeable.

Edit: and no you don't sound thick at all.

well I'm off out to buy acetate this morning I'm so excited:j I have the same problem as you Rusty I've only got the thick double sided tape, so I'll have to look out for something a bit thinner!
I'm sure I've asked you this before Soblivion how can I get my circle looking pretty the one where you've written Valentine in the middle, have you just used the patterned scissors to cut around it?

Thankyou soblivion :) I really appreciate it. I think I just originally bought what I thought was fine and was completely ignorant to the fact there may be different kinds and thicknesses! :rotfl:

Hels I think someone mentioned they use a xcut cutter? (I think ... I might have dreamed it though) but I know some of them come in circles?
