hi, does anyone know if you can go through quidco onto boots.com??

Am pondering with the idea of joining a cashback site but dont know where to start!! i remember peoples on here mentioning using such sites but cant find which ones...

    thanks in advance xxx
    topcashback 3.5%
    ipoints 7 points per pound
greasypalm 1.75% (takes ages to validate)
Quidco no longer does them, the best return is with topcashback (I think) but I like ipoints cos I do their surveys as well so it adds up a bit quicker! I think there might be one other cashback kings? hth
  • My DF kept me awake till 3am this morning.

He was trying to work out how many bottles of reduced HE we would need to buy to be able to pay for a digital SLR i have been after with points.

He is now on the hunt for 350 bottles reduced to 37p  therefore giving us 35000 points which is what we need for the camera.

I have no idea where he is gonna get 350 bottles from and what the hell he thinks im gonna do with 350 bottles?

£129.50 it will cost to get the £350.00 worth of points we need therefore saving £220.50 and gaining 350 bottles and unlimited blinkies.

    HE'S GONE MENTAL

He's on a mission and gonna ask every manager in every store he goes to today if they have anymore out back.

When i asked him what i was supposed to do with all that shampoo etc he said well you could keep some and give the rest to charity or something.

Im pleased he's getting into this bootsing stuff but i think he's taking it way to far now.

i am just catching up on the thread and i am in fits of laughter reading this!!!! your hubby is a genius!!!!!!! and also to think about splitting up the transactions to get blinkies:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
btw is the 100 points an automatic bonus, or do you need a points voucher??
and i much prefer the old HE and packaging!!!!!!!!!
  • Hi,

I'm a long-time lurker...finally have the courage to most on this thread (my favourite on the forums!) It moves so fast I can't keep up! :o

Firstly, I have to say you are all so brilliant at these points/offers/glitches etc. I don't know where to start! I did manage to get a few things at the 75% off sale in-store thanks to you guys :D

I have a question..I'm not much of a make-up person but have decided to buy some basics...I have had no make-up whatsoever a few weeks ago but now have plenty of eye-makeup but not much else. I'm trying to make the most of the No. 7 342 and 'Blinkies'. So I was going to do the following:

    1:
    Mineral foundation £13.70
    Concealer £12.48
    Pressed powder £11.26

    342 minus voucher = £21.18

    2:
    highlights thingy (I don't even know what it's for :rotfl::o) £10.03 - £5 = £5.03

    3:
    makeup remover £6.85 - £5 = £1.85

Total to pay: £28.06, total saving: £26.26, basic make-up collection: complete. Is this the cheapest/best way to do this? Thanks :o

pinkdiamond - the points for the pantene or HE are automatically added at the til, no voucher needed and it is 100 points per bottle, not per transaction

Moneysaver86 - that looks to be the cheapest way to do it to me, but saying that I am not an expert on this so hopefully someone else will post and give their opinion! Even if you started with buying the mineral foundation and using a blinkie if you had one already and then used the blinkie you'd earn from each transaction on the first shop in the first shop it still works out cheaper to do the 3 4 2 in this instance (by about £1 odd from my workings out anyway lol)

I have about 4 blinkies in my coat pocket cos I haven't seen anything i want to use them on yet!

I think you can use a Blinkie on your first transaction too making it £5 less as these are full priced items, there should be no issues. You should then earn yourself another Blinkie providing you purchase these bits by Tuesday when I think people have mentioned that they are stopping giving out Blinkies althoug they can still be used till I think the 1st of Feb. Buying so much No7 stuff I'd also blag yourself a free consultation with one of the SA's about the best way to apply the make up. If you would like some free concealer sponges just PM me, I got a load the last time the offer was on and don't use them all that often as I don't wear makeup very often. They're nice, you just lightly dampen them and then they make your foundation go on really smoothly so that you don't end up with orange lines round the jaw etc. Enjoy your new makeup look.

Edit: Der - have just seen you wrote 342 minus voucher! I was reading too quickly and cos I didn't see the word blinkie I thought "Oh no lost opportunity, but you are on the ball!"

Hi all, went to Edinburgh Fort Kinnaird Boots today. A few bottles of the old style HE but none were reduced , got three pantene sachets though (left two in the box on the bottom shelf:D), lucky dip when you buy no7 on 3 for 2 is still on, although I just used up two blinkies on pore refiner, and balancin fluid (both reduced so were free). I did buy gorgeous leapord print tweezers though that were beside the clearance stand, dont need them but they were only £1 and look soo cute
Finally, I can see you crystal clear

I managed to pick up a few reduced HE' bottles today, prices ranged from 37p to 88p per 200ml/ 400ml bottle.
When I took them to the till the SA told me that all the HE' was being reduced to half price, even the already reduced HE'. :)
This is because the stores are being told to make room for the new HE' range.
So hopefully this will mean that they will be even cheaper.
I am unsure as to when the extra 100 points offer ends, does anyone have any idea, (will it be soon).

I also noticed that the ACM is giving out £1 off any Soltan product.
This is handy, as most stores have lots of clearance suncare including Soltan items. I managed to pick up a mini Soltan, tan duo, with a moisturising exfoliator and sunless tan lotion in a small box, reduced to £1.22, less the acm voucher, so paid 22p.

Another ACM voucher is for BOGOF on the boots Multi-Tones Permanent Hair Colour.
They are also reduced to £4.98, which is not bad for 2 packs. :)
The voucher is only valid till 27/01 though.

I bought this yesterday, as I had got the BOGOF voucher from the ACM, and with it being on offer just now from £5.98 down to £4.98 (for 2 boxes using voucher obviously) I thought this was a good deal.

................. I thought it was an even better deal when I looked at my receipt and noticed that although they go through BOGOF- they take £1.00 of each box- so you actually get 2 boxes for £3.98!!! ;)

I've got to ask (big fan of leopard print here). What make are the leopard print tweezers? I've not 'spotted' them in my local branch, and I gotta have some!!
  • Ooo thanks for that wendym.
I buy this regularly and find it to be very good. I wonder if we'll still get our 50% HC discount on it at that price too, making it 19p or so per bottle? Bargainilicious :D
i would so complain if they discontinued this. I LOVE boots sensitive household range:( *off to check dotcom*

Thanks...I worked it out at 44p :D but every penny counts and less effort with the transactions. I'm already having trouble using the blinkies up, don't want too many more..I just end up spending more unnecessarily!

Thank you...I didn't think of asking for the consultation! I have sponges and brushes thanks to a friend but thank you so much for your offer :)
