  • Went in around 4pm today and all the clearance stock was being reduced further to bargain prices (which is a shame for the poster who said they bought all the clearance alternative therapies the other day)

There were a few people buying a lot (although mainly lots of different items rather than bulk buying) so I'm sure there will be a lot left in the morning for those passing :) No reduced HE is left now in clearance, but things people might be interested in included a stand of children's clothes, lots of reduced No7 (mainly suncare and moisturisers down to £1 and nail varnishes and sun lipcare for 50p), Ben Sherman aftershaves and deodrants, hair care (only Charles Worthington and a few Model Mes left down to 50p/£1) and loads of general tanning/haircare/skincare bits.

    I bought:

2 x Nivea DNAge Zone Action - £2 each (both free with voucher)
    2 x Model Me products - 50p each
Charles Worthington (think it was some sort of hair cream, quite a few left but I gave mine to my mum so unsure of the exact name sorry) - £1
No7 Instant Sunshine Sunkissed Mousse Bronzer - 50p
    No7 Instant Sunshine Smooth-On Bronzer - £1
OPI RapiDry Top Coat - 50p
    Make Believe Bronzer - 50p
    Hot Pink Hairdryer - £2
    Ben Sherman aftershave - £2
    2 x pack of 8 AAA batteries - 20p each

Just remembered they also had OPI handcreams for 50p and a King of Shaves set for 50p (this should be free with the voucher on first page?) The reductions on clearance were quite significant from the prices they had been previously, eg the DNAge was originally on clearance for £7.82 and now £2. So worth a look if you saw something on a previous visit.

Didn't have time to look downstairs but there were several Olay GWP when I was in earlier in the week.
  • My one and only Boots bargain of the week was when I found a ROC CompleteLift set on the reduced shelves in Crawley Boots today. It has 50mls of night cream, 15ml of eye gel, a 5ml sample of day cream and a cream coloured make up bag in the set. It was marked down to £12.84, so £7.84 after using a £5 skincare voucher. Not bad when the full size products are about £20 a piece I think!

There were were 2 more sets on the shelf so HTH any Sussex bootsers.

The clearance is upstairs in the far corner between the opticians and the kids toys and the No7 clearance is on a stand next to the tills downstairs near the exit to the shopping centre. They did have l'Oreal GWP on the make up bit (black ones) but haven't had any Olay GWP for ages. One bargain that ikkle showed me was FCUK black small wash bags for £2 on 342. These are about £8 everyhere else I have seen. They are downstairs with all the FCUK bath stuff. No mens putting sets or the l'Oreal mens sets that I have seen.

    HTH

    Thanks so much :)

Went there a few weeks ago - huge store, but nothing much on clearance, except the wrapping paper! HTH

Thanks! Guess that Boots round here don't like discounting things (I should know, used to work in the Lakeside one!).

    sorry to snip jazzteddy.

glad u mentioned this. I have ~6 packs of the Td facial wipes from last skincare voucher where u could get them free. Am currently bout half way through 1st pack and my skin is a mess (i have mild eczema).

I wanted to return these for an exchange but should i just be honest and say i got them free (to explain the 6 packs!)? And then what would they let me exchange them for?

    tia

    sorry to quote myself.

thanks for all the replies. I'm going to try and return these to silverburn tomorrow (where no-one knows me )

i'll let u know how i get on!

THat's funny cos I love emersons green purely because its where I got my one and only olay gwp :j!! Do you know if they still have them there? Or anywhere else in bristol?
    THanks

I was at Emerson last Wednesday and there were no olay GWP's there. They had a few end of aisle shelves with overpriced clearance ie HE £1.88 or something and nothing reduced on SEL. They had a nice amount of the L'Oreal Mens kit but all at full price-I got the supervisor to check if this was going to be reduced anytime soon and she checked the list and said no. Came out without spending a penny!!! (not that I usually spend a penny on the shop floor in Boots anyhow!!! IYKWIM!!)
Not seen any GWP's anywhere except the 17 silver bag which they are now charging £1 for at Eastgate!

    Hi, all

Does anyone know of any of the Lee Stafford Box of Tricks being sold at £17.xx in the Manchester area? Or anyone have a spare one to sell? They're still full price on .com - might have a chance of popping to the shops tomorrow (snow permitting) but will have limited time, so need to know in advance where to head for.

Also, I have two Love Notes brochures, if anyone needs the points vouchers? Just PM me. Am going out now but will reply later.

    TIA!

    Suzi xx

2 putting sets left in Glasgow St Enochs center today, hardly any clearance left though.

But i did find 2 winkies sitting on the shelf :) Added to my collection

    Hiya from another Glasgow Bootser:hello:

I got one of the putting sets yesterday - must have been before you as I think there were two left then.

Can you tell me where the clearance stuff is in St Enochs? I couldn't find anything.

They also had loads of the Lee Stafford Hairdryer/straightner sets in Buchanan Galleries - I had one in my basket to buy as it was a bargain but then realised my hair is too short to straighten and I don't use a hairdryer anyway so was it really a bargain if I wasn't going to use it? so it went back for someone else to buy

I've seen stuff downstairs behind the SS tills, or in the corner near the tills at the back of the shop.

Also, have you noticed that there's a downstairs in the Sauchiehall street Boots? 4 years in Glasgow and I've only just discovered it exists...
