    I was up in B'ham for 4 days with no internet - i'm trying very hard to catch up with all the posts (still got about 50 to read:eek: )

    I couldn't visit B'ham without a trip to Boots in the city centre:D

    Boots on the high street had loads of clearance items: tons of No7 including the xmas eye pallete at £5.8x, sun creams, deodrants, shower gels, 17, naked face masks for 16p (bought some in Luton last week for 32p:rolleyes: )the last men's GWP for £6.50 and much more. I got a lovely king of shaves blue wash bag with shaving gel, face balm, and razor for £5.87

    all the reduced MM had gone and no reduced HE

    they did however, have the purple olay GWP (they had 2 on the shelf, but only 1 left now;) )

    bull ring branch had no reduced HE, no Olay GWP. Some reduced No7, but double the price of the No7 on clearance in the high street:confused:

    I then popped into superdrug in the bull ring and found lots of stuff reduced to 10p. I got some hair clips, pk of 2 electric brush heads and cosmopolitan pk of nail files. Lots more in clearance, but no time to rummage. Might be worth having a look if you live near there:D

    off to catch up now...

    there aren't many bootsers from London ??... I keep hoping to read here where do you find goodies. I find some but not so many as others, I did found Olay giftset last weeks in Brent Cross (but I had to pay for wipes to cover it), I think we have less clearance in London :cry:

    it depends where you are? I do most of my bootsing in central london and find the best bargains in the smaller stores:D

    I went to Boots at St Phillips Marsh in Bristol and got a couple of reduced T & G Model Me spratsa and used my Haircare voucher and 150 points voucher ( which had to be added by hand ) However I found the Loreal Mens Anti Fatigue Set at £3.57 but the shelf was empty. I asked the manager and he said there were no more and when I asked about the Putting Set he was quite stroppy and said they had none since Xmas. I am off to London on Thursday so will have to look there. Anybody seen either there?? If not has anybody got a spare of either as I would be willing to pay postage. PM me if you can help

    Where did you get the mag from please as I looked in 2 newsagents today and they only had the Feb issue, not the March?
    TIA

    I asked a question similar to this earlier. I also could only find the Feb issue and on page 165 there is no mention of Boots or lacoste! :confused:

    The lady who mentioned march cosmo may be a subscriber? I know with certain mag subs you get them a few days before the shops :)

    Does anyone know if you earn points when you buy glasses with in store Boots Opticians? Also can you use vouchers? i.e double points?

    TIA

    don't know how far north you can go but Watford Harlequin has a quite good clearance section at the mo but no reduced HE, (obv. lots of secret bootsers around :rotfl:) Watford waterfields not so good clearance but more reduced stuff on shelves SA's are great here too, but it's very quiet so they get to know you quite quickly!
    I think brent X you have to be really quick to find anything cos it's so busy! (and SA's are a bit more on the ball!) hth
  • Found some HE reduced at 55p/73p with a clearence sticker on... when I went to pay 4 these saw the SA pointing out the 'deal' on these to another SA who didn't seem too bothered... but the SA serving me was having a problem with it! Looked as if the pts were coming out of her pocket lol!

    Also found some CW reduced @ 49p/55p!!! What a bargain when paying with the wrinklies too... went to SS to pay 4 these as could do separate transactions but had a minor problem... as these were reduced with a sticker clearence on the system was not recognizing(sp) the prices and was having none of it! It was going thru as full price!:eek: But the SS SA was lovely!!! She came over to overide the prices and was fine about the separate transactions so the wrinklies could b used... I apologized but she was fine and even commented this was giving her something to do... what an :A ... SO good 4 a change as generally I tend to find the dragons! She also mentioned it was a clever way of paying for the itms lol! Thanks every1 here!:T

    Found also some reduced R&M lip liners and with these on 3 for 2 a bargain to be had! Also had some 250pts on R&M which eventually were added manually by the SA! Oh, how I miss the blinkies!

    Bought some clearence too:

    KISS Manicure Kit @ 46p;
    RED Nail Clipper/Tweezer set @ 49p;
    JK Nail Buffer @ 30p;
    T&G MM between 61p to £1.46 (used wrinklies...)

    I now find myself with sooooo many bargains but not much space for them lol!:o Tho I only visit Mr B twice a wk I find the SAs a bit funny and not very welcoming and not helpful @ all bar a couple! When peeps like me manage to find clearence stuff it seems to annoy the SAs a lot...:( howeva, I'm sure they can help themselves to the bargains too... do tend to get a bit down but then think to myself 'well I've had a bargain and she's not pleased with it!';)

    Don't know about points but you can't use the double points voucher, it says not opticians on the back. Which is not good as I've just been quoted £450 for glasses from them!!!

  • mrsbb - you earn 1 point per £ at the opticians. You can use gift cards and ACM vouchers (for opticians) towards the cost though, I used one for £25off when I got mine about a month ago. You can also use a NHS voucher in conjunction with other offers :)
