  • A few years ago I bought some gorgeous perfume in Boots, in both roll-on creme and atomiser versions. It was called Starlet, and they also did body lotion and bath stuff in the range, together with nail varnish and I believe a solid lip balm. The packaging was pale pink, with a very retro 50s design.

Does anyone know if the same fragrance is still available under another name? I'd love to get some more if it is. It smells a bit like coconut and grapefruit
  • Hello, can anyone please tell me if any of the following stores have the Gilette putting sets so that I can plan this weeks outings.

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
Had a good shop at Haywards Heath at the weekend (taken me a while to get round to posting!)
They had a "Last chance to buy No7" stand and some haircare reduced SELs as well as two Clearance stands.
Got a No7 sun mousse bronzer reduced to £5.40 (spent my last blinkie), Roc face wipes £6.49 (used wrinklie), Charles Worthington Results Really Shiny gloss spray reduced to £1.10 and JF Frizz Ease Miraculous Rehydration deep treatment reduced to 67p (used £2 haircare voucher for both). (I've decided that these don't count in my 100 day challenge on not buying hair products as they didn't cost me anything!)
    Total to pay £1.89!

Have been trying to use a few wrinklies and picked up these:

    2 x Olay Regenerist Thermal Skin Polisher 125ml @ £5.51p each,
used wrinklie, so just 51p each to pay,
but would like to know if anyone else has any tips for using this product, TIA.

    1 x Time Delay Skin Treatments Radiance Booster 50ml @ £6.86,
used wrinklie and 100 extra points wyb any TD, so £1.86p paid.
    3 x HE shampoo 73p each, plus 300 points,

So, gained 400 extra points on a spend of just over £5.

I bought the P&P lipcare with the £5 off ACM and 250 extra points last week and have used it for a few days,
it is nice, tastes a bit minty too, but I would not pay £8.60 for it.
Have just started trying out the tinted moisturiser and P&P serum from the gwp,.......
hopefully by tomorrow I will look twenty years younger (lol).:)

  • Thanks, it sounds to have some of the same scents in it, but the one I'm thinking of was just called "Starlet" and was a Boots own brand. This one's definitely not spicy at all

    ...

I've been using it for nearly a year, and just follow the instructions. I pat a bit of warm water on my face, then massage in the skin polisher, then wash it off with warm water. I use it just once a day (in the morning) as it does exfoliate mildly and I don't think you want to do that twice a day. At night I generally use a face wipe, but sometimes use the plain, clear Olay face wash (can't remember what it's called, but it's the cheapest one we got free with PC vouchers last year, lol).

I saw my mum in December for the first time since I started using the polisher, and she raved about my skin. I saw results after just a few days, so I'm pretty sure the Olay product is more to credit for my improved skin than any of the other things I've tried since then (various moisturisers and serums). FYI, the Olay Regenerist Cream Wash is just is good, and is actually the first thing I tried -- I bought the polisher on accident. Now I like it a wee bit better as the warming feels so good.

I've just done a quick Google and it seems Boots Starlet fragrance was around in 2002. Customer Services should be able to tell you if it's now under another name.

Thank you, I will do that :)
