sorry for the chat but I just wanted to say something to pollsdolls, it will be the 5th anniversary of my mum passing away on 14th march and not a day goes by when I don't think of her, it doesn't get easier, you just learn to cope with it better, always remember that people come into your life for a reason and once they have done that they leave again to help someone else but nobody can take away the memories....sorry for getting so sentimental I'm off to cry in a corner now!
So sorry for your sadness Vicki, but there's no need to apologise for loving someone, or for crying when you think of the memories that you treasure about them.
God made tears to wash away sorrow, and a good cry, for whatever reason, often makes you feel a whole lot better.

Sorry if this is a silly question, but I really fancy some of the fit-flops that are being sold online. However due to being skint can’t afford them. Is there anyway that I can order them in store and pay with points??
Many thanks in advance.

get the item number of the ones you want, then go in store (usually to photo counter) and ask to order from boots.com. You can then pay with points. You have to have the whole amount in points though, you can't pay part cash/part points. You can either get them delivered to your home or pick up in store a few days later. hth0 -

Miss_Marple wrote: »Hello everyone. I just wondered what people thought of the P&P serum. Am thinking of getting some with the £5 ACM voucher to get me the GWP. I have never tried it, but want to give it a go. I used to use a Perfect World serum from origins that make my skin look & feel fantastic, but it got a bit expensive - is the P&P serum a bit like that ? (if anyone has tried origins). I read the reviews on .com, but someone gave it a 1 star, so am a bit unsure whether to get it.

I just bought the p&p serum to get the gwp this week. I haven't opened that yet as I've been using sample sizes from old gwps, but I have to say I like it. It feels good on the skin, and many people say it's great (here are some reviews). On a recent TV show that tested these products out, I think this one got the highest marks for making your skin look good. But it is like all of these products in that it doesn't truly improve the quality of your skin, it just makes it look better while using it. It's worth a try since you can get a discount with vouchers and a gwp.0 -

I too was in Broadmead for it opening that day, we prob past each other dashing down the ailse lol, I always wonder if there is anybody else from here wandering round. Did you see the woman and her bloke grabbing all the No7 p&p perfect skin and body collections now that was funny
Yes I did and it did not look like the serum did her any good anyway!!!!0 -
Tried the lynx giftsets to see if they were included in the 2 for £4 deal but sadly not.
Did get 2 Loreal mens anti-fatigue washbags at £3.67 bogohp tho - bargain!!!! Thanks OP! And a 79p Gillette shaving foam for the patient OH waiting in the wings.
Disappointed that the acm had no sign of the £5 off p&p voucher though - was looking forward to trying various permutations of getting the gwp cheaply - will be trying westwood cross Boots tomorrow.

Hiya mummysavingmumofone, sorry if I havent explained this properly, but it didnt actually take off the £2 new haircare voucher. It only took off £1.22 for the Model Me shampoo. Altho it took off the whole £2 when I bought 2 x TS or T&G or UG minis. I hope ive explained this right'They only had one cow!'0 -
I bought today a HE shampoo which I thought had been reduced to 44p. It went through the till at £1.76!!. Paid and then I realised the mistake so I asked for a refund. The till adds 100 points for the sale but only deducts 4p when it is refunded back to your card. Anyone brave enough to try a big shop!!! 96 points each refund. Worth a try.
Buying something with the intent to return it and keep the points is considered iffy behaviour, and we try to discourage people from endorsing that on this thread as it can lead to problems. It's really a bad idea to endorse that sort of thing on a public forum. Can you imagine if stores started getting dozens of returns of HE every day (thousands of people read this thread)? Imagine what response they'd take, and how one person who tried it could end up with an SA who has been put on the alert for people with HE, an SA who then reported your advantage card and got it canceled due to shady behaviour?
Whatever you want to do personally is up to you -- but use a little discretion when you decide what to share online.0 -

Can anyone comment on how good the Chanel skin care range is? I love the bath and body stuff, and currently having problematic skin, would like to try this..but dont wanna spend £60 to find out it gives me a rash as I dont think they'd take it back would they?
I don't know where you live but I use nothing else but Chanel and have done for the last 10 years or so. I buy it at Boots in Newcastle and I can't recommend the staff there highly enough. The first time I went there I was given a full consultation about my skin and was given generous samples of the products they advised for me to try and then asked me to return in about a week to see what I thought of it. As it is expensive I was advised what to buy first and given more samples to keep me going of the other stuff till I built up the full range.
I now use the full range that is suitable to me and when anything new comes out that they think I might need and like. I am given samples to try before I buy. Never have I come away from that counter buying something that I have not tried first and liked or felt under any pressure to purchase.
So I would say go along to your Chanel counter tell them your problems, let them advise you, take away the samples and try them and if you like the product buy it, if not tell them why you don't like it and they will suggest something else.0
