Please help with switching BB and Home Phone provider

The Broadband and line rental are in my mother's name. We're currently with AOL and BT. We're going to switch to PlusNet for BB and phone. But it's going to be in my name. AOL are pulling the plug on us tomorrow so I'd really like to get something sorted today. Not sure when BT is going.
Is it a straight forward signup on PlusNet's site (Essential package £.6.65 BB £10 phone)? Sorry if I sound a bit stupid. I've never switched BB and line rental providers before. Thank you to anyone who helps
