    The way Inky says works, although you might have to click on the little box that appears to the right (auto fill options) and select 'fill series' to get a sequence of numbers.

    The other way is to type =ROW(A1) in the first box and then drag the cross down to the bottom of your list and that will number them all in sequence.

    My favourite thing at the moment is data validation to make drop down lists.. ooh and pivot tables.. drool.. :rotfl:
