My grandparents had Everest in for a quote. It started at £25,000, and with them saying nothing dropped to £12,000. They didn't respond to accept the offer, and at a second visit Everest dropped the price to £10,000. Unfortunately they accepted this quote - a local company would do it for less than that again. They paid a £2000 deposit. We've had it verbally that they can cancel and have a refund, but as yet no response to the letter that was sent (special delivery). When I was talking to the manager about cancelling, he even said they were going to provide A rated windows instead of the B rated windows they'd been quoted for - in a previous call he was going on about how the quote was so keen and he didn't know how the salesman had done it, yet in the second call he was making it even better.

Basically you can't trust a word they say. They probably take the real cost and quadruple it, then see how low you'll go. Going off other reports on the web, they're a company to avoid.

Anybody know a number for their head office, other than the sales number?

Yes my friends were quoted a high price then given a "discount". Why don't they just be upfront in the first place. These were sash type windows to match the style of the house, I don't know the cost but they do look good, mind you, everest did put the handles on the wrong side of the windows! :o they got a bit off for that because they didn't want to go through having the windows taken out to put that right.

Tha lady who had the door for over £2000 was elderly
