I have just made a booking with them for a Hotel we have stayed at before in Orlando (Point Resort). They were £350 less than expedia (who I always use and have complete confidence in) and now I am getting nervous because I have never used them before. I assume they have taken the money for the booking now, paid on my CC for extra protection.
May spend between now and July worrying about it !
Stuff on the web says they are owned by TUI, are the legit and a good company to use ?
Thanks

Yes, I am sure I have booked with them before. They are legit.
I don't know how their relationship with hotels works, so if they go bankrupt whether that would affect your booking or not I don't know. But if it was over £100, your credit card issuer is jointly liable.
On that basis, I'd stop worrying and look forward to your holiday!#145 Save £12k in 2016 Challenge: £12,062.62/£12,000.00 Beginning Balance: £5,027.78 CHALLENGE MET

Thanks for that, has anyone else had any experience of them ?0

Used them once for accom in Malta and had no problems at all. There were discount codes kicking around for 5% and 10% off not long ago and you can also get 10% cashback if you go through Quidco."Life is not measured by the breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away."0
-
Cheers - I did both Quidco and 5% off, Although it has not tracked yet ! Thanks for putting my mind at rest.0
-
Forget that ! Just checked and it has tracked ! Earning me a whopping £71 ! Overall they have saved me about £500. Hope they are OK though.0

they are part of TUI.. so if TUI go pop, hotelopia do, as it is one of their "brands"
i, however, think you'll be fine!
one thing you can do is call the hotel to confirm your booking, and if they have it, and it is paid in full, you're sorted!0 -
there brill
booked quite a few hotels through them, always go through quidco, and always search for a discount code.0 -
By the way, when I tried to book with Hotelopia on the internet I couldn't manage to send the payment over the net so I rang them On speaking to them I asked if they were in Spain and they confirmed that they were. I explained that I had tried to pay on line so she checked the transaction history and confirmed that the payment hadn't gone through before continuing with the booking.:: Unapproved signature removed by MSE Forum Team ::0

Hi teachertim
We have used Hotelopia for many years with no problems at all. We always booked package hols and {like you} we were apprehensive but found that their pricings were too good to pass by. As stated being TUI {the parent company of Thompson} you will have no problems, just relax, look forward and enjoy your holiday0 -
I find them really good and they nearly always have a dixcount codetravelover0
