  • Sorry to sound stupid, but are these like hotels - what kind of stuff can you do there? Also, what standard are they, like what star rating would they equate to?

They vary... they are aimed primarily at corporate customers, so you wont always find a great deal of leisure stuff there. The locations of most are very nice (the old stately homes etc). I work for IBM and they use Warbrook and New Place (they used to own them) and those 2 I would equate to a 3* hotel in terms of facilities. There are others like the one near Chester which have better facilities - pool, health spa etc. My advice is check the link to the hotel and see what it has there before you book. At the end of the day though they are ALL going to be better than a Travelodge which is the closest deal to this :T

Thanks to the OP by the way - Booked a birthday treat for the wife in the Chester one and 2 days for the family for a trip to legoland at easter ;-)

Now then, I have been clicking on my £10 room all day only for it to come back as £120. I have spoken to them on the phone and they say the " Front Page" is only updated twice a day. So it is always out of date.

What I want to know is - If they advertise the rooom on their internet site as £10, are they not obliged to sell it for £10 ?

Funny how the front page only updates twice a day but the system behind that has the 'live' prices .... I wonder when the 'twice a day' is, because it has not happened yet today I don't think!

AFAIK, the price stated is only an 'offer to treat' and no contract with them would exist until they had taken payment and confirmed everything to you.
