it's really easy. mine came with a few recipies, measuring cup + spoon. put the ingredients in the bread maker in the order they are on the list ( i made the mistake of just slinging it all in the first time - BIG mistake)
then put it on what ever setting it tells you to. and wait for it to beep to say its done. i know it they sound odd but do try banana bread, tomato bread + peanut butter bread! yummy! and i hate sundried tomatoes+peanut butter LOL
not sure about peanut butter bread tho :rotfl: thanks for tiphave now given up smoking since feb 13th 2014 loving the money I'm saving0 -
We bake our own now - used to but stopped - then started again when I got a new breadmaker from hubby for birthday. Best loaves ever and miles cheaper - plus much lower salt than in bought bread too!3 kids(DS1 6 Nov, DS2 8 Feb, DS3 24 Dec) a hubby and two cats - I love to save every penny I can!

Make your own!!!
It is the only way you know you are not putting complete rubbish into your system - especially if budgeting is important. Although personally I would just prefer a good loaf of bread instead of worrying about a few pennies.0 -
Do the math, you'd be surprised how expensive that home made bread is! I used to make my own, but it was just too damned expensive when you can get a loaf in Lidl for 35p, and it is perfectly good bread (above poster may want to re-evaluate how they store it)
I've had the Lidl loaf (I'm not at all snobby when it comes to food) and if you genuinely believe it tastes anywhere near as nice as the stuff that comes out of my breadmaker then I think there must be summat wrong with either your breadmaker or your taste buds.
Plus, of course, there's nowt like that just baked bread smell.Call me Carmine....

i've just worked it out at the same prices
i only ever have home made bread. the taste and cost is much better than shop bought bread! nothing beats the smell of fresh baked bread. or warm bread straight from the oven, with a bit of proper butter on. yum yum :T
*runs off to bake bread - yummy*
Lidl had one on offer for £25 a week or so ago and there were still some left in my store the other day so maybe worth a look? I've got a Morphy Richards which cost almost twice as much and it's fine but I'm not convinced you have to spend an absolute fortune to get nice-tasting bread - they all seem to use the same principle to me...Call me Carmine....

Tesco do a lovely in-store baked white loaf in the bakery section. It costs a pound but it is ruddy massive! They always have them in stock and are quite often reduced at the end of the day (well, in Tesco Extra Reading, they do!)
