Halifax online overdraft - strange behaviour!

I thought I'd click on the Apply/change overdraft button today, and it told me my current limit was £1,400 and my 'guaranteed overdraft available now' was also £1,400. I typed in I wanted to reduce it to £1,000 and submitted it, which it accepted. However, it now proclaims they are happy to give me £2,250 if I wish!
So, ask to reduce overdraft by £400 = offer to increase it by £850.

It now seems they have redesignated my account to a standard current account (lower credit interest and higher overdraft interest), which may have something to do with it. The plot thickens!0
