If its not an issue in your complaint why not just tell everyone the age and mileage?

You want advice, the age and mileage is relevant.

    You really are a tool!

    Silly, impotent little man.
  • I think you've realised your mistake, which is never to buy this sort of car from a supermarket.
There is a reason why probably 90% of prestige cars get serviced and maintained by the franchise dealers or specialists.

You should of driven it straight to porsche to get sorted out instead of messing about with local garages etc.

I believe the FSA have some sort of arbitration scheme, which hopefully the financial ombudsman will put your case through. What do the T+C's of your warranty say about gearbox failures?

Is black horse "providing" you with the warranty or the finance?
  • Hi Lemonade

What you have said is quite right totally agree. These big dealerships dont give a hoot once the car is sold. We did actually take the car to a porsche specialist who recommended we get a independant inspection done and put us in touch we the engineer who carried out our inspection. He has since done another report contradicting the dealers report. We are also waiting for a report from a local garage who gave the car a general health check before it went into the dealership. The report from the dealership states we would have trouble in selecting 2nd and 5th gears and clutch drag has caused the problem!! Utter rubbish we never had any probs other than losing 5th.
Ok we accept the clutch may have been worn and we offered to pay for that but there is no doubt that the gearbox failed as a result of mechanical failure. The dealership refused to pay for the gearbox which would have been £700 but offered £300 as a 'goodwill gesture' Are they not admitting liability to some extent? If it truly is not covered by warranty then why make an offer?
As for the Black Horse they dont care at all and have been as much use as an ashtray on a motorbike!!!!! (the warranty was included in the finance)
Pinning all my hopes on the FOS even though i know it will take months!
Good luck to all others in a similiar situ and thanks for the helpful replies folks
  • Rock and hard place springs to mind.
The FSA should hopefully be able to sort you out, it sounds like you have reasonable grounds for complaint under CCA + separately the warranty isn't doing what it says on the tin.

    Good luck
  • Just to update the people that gave sensible replies and not the prats such as Linas, Photome and Daytona (Daytona fyi in female u tool!!!)
Well the ombudsman could not side with us as the warranty was not underwritten, just a dealership warranty, so i went on to take the dealership to court! They defended the claim and we went to a preliminary hearing and the judge decided on mediation. This failed so we were heading for the full hearing until the dealership settled out of court for the full amount:T
I have been posting on consumer action group the guys on there are great and have given me no end of help
Linas what do you have to say now??????????????
  • well??????????
