Samsung C300 on Orange

I'm in the market for a new handset. I like the look of this - http://shop.orange.co.uk/shop/show/handset/samsung_c300_lilac/detail/pay_as_you_go -it's a good price and I haven't found it anywhere else.

I know the phone is ok for what I want, as I've had a secondhand one before, but wondered if it is likely to be unlocked/unlockable, as I have a couple of months worth of credit on a Tesco Sim that I'd like to be able to use up.

(BTW, I would use the credit that has to be bought with the phone, as I also already have an Orange SIM I use for the cinema deals, and would probably go to orange completely once the tesco credit had gone.)

All branded Orange phones are lock (to Orange as a rule :-) ).
Orange will unlock on payg for £20 or it should be able to be unlocked by a phone shop for between £5 to £10.

Sometimes the lower priced phones sold by Carphone warehouse under the orange tag are unlocked and sometimes the expensive ones. The staff will normally tell you

you can get this phone from phones4U £5 for the phone and £10 top up total = £15. Cheaper than the orange deal.

    Thank you all.

£5-£10 to unlock isn't too bad, but £20 makes it unworthwhile - I'll see if I can get a price from someone around here before I spend any money.

I'll ask at my Carphone Warehouse tomorrow about unlocked phones - I'd looked on their site and not really seen anything that took my fancy in my price range, but hadn't thought to ask instore.

I can't see the c300 on Phones4u or anywhere else - although the price sounds great - any chance of a link?
