Calling all 3 customers from 2008

Did any 3 customers receive notification from 3 last year that they were changing their national roaming server from Orange to 02 in August?

No, but I already knew, and had discussed it a bit beforehand.

They actually did the deal with Orange some time earlier, from whence all new SIMs only roamed on Orange. From slightly later, old ones would roam on both O2 or Orange. I don't know when this is actually supposed to have stopped, as mine still does, but I wonder if it missed an update through being off for some time (disused payg).

If it's a problem to you, then look for some other threads on here. Some people complained of much worse coverage at some locations, and initially they were told nothing could be done, but some were eventually able to get agreement to cancel the contract early without penalty

Thanks everyone. This is very interesting because according to 3 Customer Services, "We notified all our customers about this change and gave them enough time to close the account if they weren't happy with this change."

Posted the original thread in a grump :mad: so got the roaming servers wrong way round. 3 changed from 02 (good signal) to Orange (bad signal) and obviously I wasn't the only one they 'forgot' to notify.;)

I get the impression something similar happened to my daughter....she joined I think in Feb 2008...but in the last few months....reception has got really bad....well worse than before anyway
