18185 question

Just come across this site and something is confusing me it says on the site if you call the local rate number from a mobile with free minutes it would come out of those inclusive free minutes. Then right next to that paragraph theres a price list for phoning mobiles. My question is if i use there local number with my mobile phone to phone other mobile phones will i get billed on the website or will it remain free as i have so many minutes free to local numbers. I was going to contact them myself but i thought i maybe able to find someone on here who actually uses this site to accomplish the above and the fact it should be alot quicker. Is it possible or do i also get billed seerately on the website for calling a local rate number? If it isn't are there other sites that forward local to mobile numbers?

If I understand your question correctly - here's a simple explanation.
18185 operate to allow cheap calls other than through your landline or mobile network.
The idea of the call through through from a mobile is this - say you wish to ring GaGaLand Orange etc will change £1.50 a minute but 18185 will change 10p.

The call is two legged a local rate call to 18185 (free from your inclusive mins) then the call to the mobile number you wish to ring (18185 charge you for this element).

18185 list rates for landlines and mobiles to all destinations - so you may wish to ring a friend on a landline or their mobile in say France.

Hope this explains what you wish to know.

In a nut shell. If you call the 18185 020 access number out of your inclusive mobile minutes, your mobile supplier want charge you, but 18185 will charge you 4p connection and the appropriate call rate for the destination you are calling.

If you dont have, or use up your inclusive minutes both your mobile supplier and 18185 will charge you.

www.localphone.co.uk offer a pre-paid service with geographical access numbers.

As the others say, the access call comes from your minutes, and the onward destination is charged on the 18185 account. If your contract includes minutes to mobiles anyway, there would be no point in using 18185 for these; but if only landlines and same network are included in your contract, you might use 18185 to other UK networks depending on tariffs.
