[Name removed by Forum Team] 's website is still up and running . I don't know if any fool has actually been able buy anything because he seems to have closed down most lines of communication.

I have emailed [Name removed by Forum Team] a couple of times asking him how on earth any customer who buys one of the gift cards can redeem it it if he is closing down. He hasn't had the good manners to reply to me.

[Name removed by Forum Team] , unless you stop selling gift cards I intend to report you to Trading Standards for fraudulent trading. This is for selling products which are worthless. To my mind this is as bad as sending someone a dud cheque or selling them a TV with no working parts. I know you read this thread [Name removed by Forum Team] , so, for once in your life, do the decent thing and act like a grown-up and not a spoilt child.

Typical British response is to knock those who have a go.

As a nation we love to run people down.

At least he gave it a go.

As usual Mr Brooker, you are spouting garbage. Most sensible British people would applaud a young business person who has succeeded in creating a thriving business....If {Removed by Forum team}had created a successful business with a satisfied customer base behind him, I would have been the first to say 'well done', but when one has allegedly intentionally ripped off and misled existing and potential customers, they deserve all that they get. Same with prices: If shop A sells a phone for £100 and shop B sells the same one for £200, a potential customer will come to the conclusion that shop B is being a little greedy with his/her profit margins.

It is ridiculous to say that if you 'have a go', but fail, it is ok, even if you leave a long negative trail behind you. If a business doesn't put its customers first, then it will fail: its as simple as that. A happy customer will tell one friend, whereas an unhappy customer will tell all of their friends.

Would you allow me try to service your car even though I am not a mechanic? I may not do the job properly, but at least I 'gave it a go', eh Dave?;)

I wonder what category GC's PC's fell into in this?

According to the article,"The biggest failure surrounded the right to return a product bought on the internet within seven days."

Oops. Guilty [Name removed by Forum Team] .

Thats a great article, but will {Removed by Forum team} 'bite the bullet' and listen?

Will he hell! I have repeatedly kindly informed him of what he needs to do to ensure his website is above board, but nothing is done. Let him dig his own hole now...

Hello [Name removed by Forum Team] ,

Are you ever going to answer my question about you selling gift cards when you are planning to close down your company? If somebody buys one of these cards how are they going to be redeemed if you are no longer around?

    A very simple question really.

try the website. are you able to buy anything? No you can't. I'm surprised as you people are all so clever that you hadn't realised this.

So if you cannot buy anything why not just close down the website?

But you are wrong. If you do try to buy something you are invited to send a cheque to Basingstoke. What are you doing with those cheques, Are you cashing them and sending out the goods, or are you tearing them up?

Think you may want to remove the bank details from there, just in case. I know you're not too bothered if someone commits fraud on his account, but he might be.
