Getting a MAC Code ?

I'm soon to move into a repossessed property and i need to arrange broadband and phone package. I'm currently on Cable with Virgin Media but i cant get cable at the new address so I'm going to have to get it through the phone line my question is how do obtain a Mac address when I dont know the previous supplier of the BB and obviously have no way of obtaining it ?

Why do you need a MAC? Is there a service on the line in the property that you are moving to? If there is a tag on the line and it is flagged up in the order process contact the new provider you want to move to and tell them you are moving into the property and that the tag is not yours and they will need to do it as it's their responsibility to remove it.

You only need a MAC (not a MAC Code) if you a changing your ISP,

if you a moving to an area with no cable then you will have to cancel your virgin media account, and when you have moved into your new house apply for a phone line and broadband.

How do you know there was broadband at this new address?
if it was repossessed the chances are that if there was broadband it has been cut off and therefore no requirement for a MAC
