Yeh the fags are a nightmare but if you can give them up it will save a fortune and also make you feel much better
Of course I gave up 6 weeks ago and not had one since. Have however had a cold and now the flu.... hmmm where are those Bensons :rotfl:0 -

I too have been 'poorly' for the past week ...... great way to stop spending !!!!
I have spent NOTHING in past 6 days !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We have a freezer full of food since Christmas / New Year (lots of bargains !!!!!) ........ so only really need ongoing 'essentials' which we'll need to get tomorrow !!!
Don't know if I really want to break my new non-spending 'habit' though !!!!!!!!

Hello JD,
Joy of Joys… nothing spent today – how wonderful. Just a semi-lazy, relaxing Old Style day pottering about. Since it’s close to the end of the month I thought I would sort of finalise the January spreadsheet data. Needed to see how the expenditure for all the groceries and other things bought during the month is going – not too bad on the whole.
Been doing some Internet research on a new vacuum cleaner as my really, really Ancient, Second Hand one (cost £10.00) is not the best now but will be really useful to keep and use in the garage. The one I will probably buy is the VAX 6131 for about £105.00. The model also washes the carpets as well as vacuuming them – how clever is that! The £2 Coin Savers Club = £346.00 (£300.00 transferred to Savings a/c)

Helloooo!
Spent £5.80 in Tesco on some bits for kids' lunchboxes for next week, then spent £23 in Boots and got a big pack of nappies, 2 packs of wipes, 3 pairs of tights, deodarant, ibuprofen, paracetamol & codeine, tixylix (for the sprogs), lip balm and some chocs! That's it I think!Mortgage-free wannabe!0
