What Hapens When Contract Runs Out?

My T-Mobile contract runs out in March, but rather than rush into another 18 month contract, I thought I would hang on for the arrival of the N97.
I do use the internet alot on my phone and was wondering what would happen when my contract runs out? Am I allowed a cut down rate for a few months to keep my web n walk ? will I carry on paying £35 a month?
Hope you can help

if you don nothing you will stay on the tariff you are on now so will continue to pay £35 a month, yes you cant reduce your tariff but this may affect yours choices when negotiating an upgrade0

I'm on o2. When my contract ran out I rang them up and said I didn't want a new one as I didn't know what I'd be doing in 12 or 18 months' time but didn't want to carry on paying the old rate in the meantime. They said I could go on PAYG if I wanted but recommended I switch to their 'simplicity' deal, which is where you use your existing phone and get a rolling contract that you can cancel with just one month's notice. It was a good offer so I did. I was told I wouldn't lose out if I later wanted to negotiate a new contract as I'd still show up as a current contract customer. I suggest you ask your network if they will do something similar - if you think you'll want to keep the same network for your new contract - otherwise switch to the o2 simplicity deal or something similar.0
