I'm still waiting for my online banking ID :( I tired that thing on their website to retrieve it but it just says "Unable to find it" or something so I guess I haven't been allocated one yet.

  • Get out while you still can!!!!!!!!!!!

The worse decision I made was banking with them! I'm currently awaiting a call back from a manager for ridculous and unjust charges placed on my account.

    They do everything by letter,
you'll have to wait 8mins every time you call to speak to someone.
They fob you off, and can never transfer you to another dept!

Long story short I went overdrawn and paid this off. Call advisor told me I would receive no more charges, as they charge £5 for every month overdrawn.
They put a late charge on anyway, making me overdraw again and then sent me a letter today saying they've been charged £5 a DAY for the past two months.
They then said all they could do was transfer my case to some payments team and it would take 2weeks to even look at it. So that means with charges put on for no reason £9.99 (I was in credit 0.01p) and the £100 they have put on and not told me about for not paying the other charge not telling me about, they want to put on another £70 before they will sort it!
And this after giving me a PPI refund!

    Stay well clear!!!
Debts to date: A&L Loan: Paid Off!, :TMMU:Paid Off!, :T

They are ok, if you have no need to contact them.

If you need to ask a question, then the staff haven't a clue.
Their systems are somewhat strange - 3 balances for example!
Not bank to the be watching the pennies with - you won't know how many you have at any one time...

I've been with them for three weeks now, primarily for a £50 quidco and £100 switching bonus.

Agree, CS on the phone is a bit patchy, and my impression is that the CS staff are very young, 18-25 and don't have much experience. I have been given duff information already.

The account numbering seems to be half a throwback from the Girobank days (9 digit accounts), and the rest from the days when this was a Building Society (10/11 digit accounts).

The balances are weird, but over the last three weeks I've sussed the following:

    1) Running Balance = Balance as at last night INCLUDING uncleared cheques AND BACS Credits made this morning, but EXCLUDING Direct Debits, Standing Orders and Bill Payments to be made today.

    2) Balance = Current Balance at this moment INCLUDING uncleared cheques, direct debits, standing orders and bill payments/debit card payments made today.

    3) Available Balance = Same as above, BUT INCLUDING your overdraft limit and EXCLUDING uncleared cheques.

That's what I've fathomed so far.
