Let me guess, this was the branch?

This was at Head Office., Kavanne, went through several departments, without any satisfaction , and they are still charging 2 years on . They havent even sent a letter to tell him to pay the overdraft, just keep adding the charges, and staying quiet ..

I am sure all banks are the same Kavanne...none of them are really concerned about their customers..but you just have to vent your annoyance sometimes

Tell them you are taking this case to FOS..the charge they will incur is more than your son owes them and they will look at it from a commercial point of view if they have any sense.

We contacted the ombudsman , who put us in touch with a 3rd party, she explained that as he had opened the account for his EMA to go into , this could be deemed as a contract of necessity ..despite his age ,

I have no idea what to do next , and cant afford /refuse to pay them

Financial Ombusdman Service, same guys Kavanne is talking about. Hit google and find their website..it will give you all the details. They deal with unresolved complaints in the financial services. Did you put your complaint in writing and have you had a final response from Natwest.
