Co-op employees... employee savings scheme is worth it!

I recently enquired about the Co-operative Value Credit Union in regards to a loan they were offering at low interest rate for employees. In order to qualify I had to put away money into a savings/share account with them aswell (pay deductable every month),

I have been placing £5 per month into this savings account for 10 months now, and when I was calling up to enquire how much loan I had left to pay, they gave me a balance on my savings account, and instead of the £50 + meagre interest I was expecting, there is £103!!

Look into it if you are a Co-operative Group employee! Just thought I'd pass it on! it's only eligible to employees and their family though
