What is your definition of good quality!?
If you have a limited budget, you'll get better value for money from somewhere like qvc than most run of the mill high st jewellers. Spending lots of dosh, does not instantly mean you have good quality (or taste for that matter, but that's a whole new thread, lol).

But you will get further value for money from a Birmingham jewellery quarter, Hatton Garden and internet retailers... Even if I only had £300 to spend I would want my money to go as far as possible :)

Oh, I know. My wedding ring came from the jewellery quarter, but not everyone lives reasonably close by.

Me either, I live in Southampton. But I have the interweb in my room. Yay! Got my e-ring off eBay.

As said before - don't buy expensive jewellery from Argos - they have far too many inclusions in them so the light doesn't travel through them very well.

Best advice I was given was to look at pre loved jewellery. Not all of it is from a broken marriage and if it was from someone who had passed on then they will be more than happy if it is making someone else happy and their precious jewellery is being worn and loved by someone else.

We have a small chain in Yorkshire that sells pre loved jewellery. When it comes to diamonds they are very good. The best investment is pre loved as you will get best value for money.

Have a look and see what is available in your area. You can buy online from Browns. Go and try some rings on and see what looks best then have a look at the online site and compare the price.

Why 5 diamonds? 3 is traditional - before now and forever.

Good luck with your choice. I got a .6 carat solitaire diamond for less than 500 quid - eye clean at that!
