  • Hi all and thanks for advice - sorry not had chance to come on.

Been keeping a rough note of what happnes - since the day I've posted it has been quiet untill this morning when the same sort of thing happened @ 6.30 am - chap went to work and the woman was screaming and swearing at the child.

Seen child out with them since first posted and she does seem genuinely happy - they take her out places with them etc.

I will be contacting NSPCC for advice and will let them know frequency etc and level of verbal abuse. I do feel that it is a matter of a Mum needing support and guidance with a difficult child - wether she's difficult because of what she has seen/heard/is used to is a different matter which I obviously can't comment on not knowing what goes on.

Hopefully the outcome will be good with Mum accepting some sort of help and support and them not knowing it was me! (No neighbours on other side)

I hope this doesn't sound silly, but when you do make the phonecalls try to keep your voice down a little - it sounds to me as though you have very thin walls.

For the sake of the child's mental well being, please phone the social services and NSPCC. Think of how the shouting is affecting the poor kid psychologically - the worse it gets, the more it'll affect the kid in it's later stages of life...and it'll show.

Good for you for reporting it. As for the kid looking happy, maybe it's just because when they are out the mother doesn't shout at her. I'm guessing few kids 'look' abused.
For everything else, there's MSE :T
