there's a theme developing with your cars, and their life expectancy!
Remember the time he ate my goldfish? And you lied and said I never had goldfish. Then why did I have the bowl Bart? Why did I have the bowl?

In my teenage years had (not exotic) a few different vehicles!

Lincoln Continental in white with blue lambswool upholstry. No I wasn't a pimp, back then, either!! Not unlike this one, it's not mine, though!!

My Chevrolt Impala 1964, never did this http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=Lc0DL3vuvb0

More up to date, in mid 90's, I bought a Jaguar Sovereign. Not very rare, or exotic.

But this was from 1989, one of the very first, of the 'new' model XJ. There was a waiting list for these, initailly & it had every extra, including sunshine roof - an option back then, BUT..... at just 1920 miles, it had the engine virtually rebuilt, with a Janspeed twin turbo conversion carried out, costing just under £10000!!

The car itself was around £40000, new.

& just to prove how our banking industry, wastes their money, isn't a new idea - the first owner was the headhunting division, of Barclays. The second owner, a director of same organization!!

Wonder just how much he actually paid them for it!!

& yes it was quick - verrrrrrrry quick!!

two cars I'd like to own (the lincoln and the jag xj, or an xjs)

none would need to bounce though!

Nice choice of cars, I bought a 1990 XJ40 4 litre the year I sold the Trans Am. It was 11 years old, had cost £30k new and I payed £1200, run it as my everyday car for 7 years, hardly had a spot of bother with it, wonderful cars.

trading down 2.6 litres to a postively economical car ;)

  • Allegro Jubilee..... Triumph Spitfire... Alfasud..... Ford Corsair..... hardly exotic though.... the nearest I came to exotic was a very poor condition Matra Bagheera, or possibly the Marcos Mantis I owned for three days....

Nothing really exotic, much as I'd like to.

The only vaguely interesting cars I've had are a couple of Capris, Mini Cooper, 206 GTi, XJ6 and my all time favourite Land Rover Series III.

I actually went from a Jaguar XJ6 to a Mini Cooper, I've always liked a bit of vairety.
It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die
