i was just saying that if there was things on your bill that you didnt ask them to do, and wernt sure that the bill was right, and you think the fault on the car was of a result of them then you should go and see them or maybe phone the manager and get them to explain the whole thing they would be happy to explain im sure ,seems self explanitry to me and ,i was giving you a hint , tips and advice thank you , ,

Exactly which BMW have you got?
There is a know fault on many 3 and 5 series of a certain age fitted with the key fob that plugs into the dash with a fully electronic steering lock. Had this fixed while under warranty on my car.

The OP done the right thing by asking for advice on here from people who have experience in this situation or general knowledge.

Armed with good advice and info she can tackle the garage with some confidence instead of being fobbed off for not knowing what she is talking about.

OK, my case doesn't help you, your age of 5 series doesn't have the key fob, Start/Stop button and electronic steering lock.
