Travelling long haul first class with a baby

As a first class passenger who has paid one Hell of a lot of money I suggest you contact the airline before you fly and tell them exactly what you expect for you and your family on the flight. If they cannot or will not give you what you want then tell them you will write to every national newspaper in town asking then to tell their readers to condemn your first class service, and see their reaction. You are entitled to what you want just as much as any other first class passenger so don't be undermined just because you have children. From first hand experience believe me he who shouts loudest gets listened to.Age & Treachery Will Always Overcome Youth & Enthusiasm !!

I also would like to second that some of these people do not get these flights paid for. Most of us work very hard and have to save up to do this,I WISH SOMEONE WOULD PAY FOR US!!!!
Yes I agree, it's the overzealous (usually soon to fail) businesses that overspend that send their top-end execs First rather than Club World - fortunately they are in the minority. I travelled in First on BA back from San Francisco shortly after a huge, international IT security conference was hosted in the city (I wasn't there for that, mine was a social visit) and there was not one suit or corporately-clothed person in First - I am assuming they were all in Club World but never ventured back far enough to see.
Have a fantastic time - and if your kid is as credit to you as it appears from your posts, then that will make your trip in First even betterGive me a kid over a snorer any day!!

Turbulence is far from an exact science, such that even Pilots can't accurately predict the location and severity - and they have hi-tech computers and a panoramic view. A few bumps here and there could indicate much bigger bumps ahead by which time it's too late to take action. If the seat belt signs are switched on the very least you should do is contact your Captain rather than attempt to exercise discretion that could prove fatal.
Not to derail the thread but who is it that you work for exactly? I'm intrigued0 -

We had an amazing time and I never want to travel economy ever again!!!!
The crew were outstanding on every leg of the trip, even at three am when my little girl wanted them to play with her in the galley. Even the captain did her a little puppet show when he came out for his break!
The washbags are great and I managed to get a couple for mum and dad.;)
My daughter had a bed to sleep on as the cabin had spare seats on every leg.
The food was stunning, the wine was simply fabulous and the service was brilliant.:j
And as for the captains of industry having their sleep disturbed, they were all lovely, and smiled at our little girl and in some cases came over and had a chat.:p
It probably helped that the moment she did more than squeak, we took her into the galley!
It has taken me a week to catch up on my sleep though!!!
What can I say... it was the trip of a lifetime!0 -

Sadly, my husband has pointed out that we will probably never travel in first again unless we win the lottery! But to have had the chance was amazing!0 -
