Is this worth anything?

I bought this child's chair from a car boot sale for £2.50 with the intention of recovering it for my grandchildren. A freind saw it and thought it may be worth something. Are they right? I want to insert a photo from my desktop but don't know how. Can anyone help?:o

This is probably one of those cases where a picture would be quite helpful.

Although you have given me an idea for a new daytime tV show - antique experts are blindfolded and have to guess whether its a genuine master or picture by my 2 year old.

Just need a catchy name and cheesy presenter.
  • I don't think you can upload photos directly to this forum, but if you want to show us you can upload to an image hosting site (e.g. Photobucket or Imageshack) then copy the url, click the "insert image" icon here and paste url.
To find out if your chair is likely to be valuable, you could take it to your local auctioneers and ask for an opinion, or if your nearest isn't very local then try e-mailing a picture to them.

Agree with above, it is very difficult to give you an answer without a picture. But, just because something looks old, or even is old, doesn't automatically make it valuable.

I keep leaving her places but she always finds her way home, i think she may be 1/5th homing pigeon so unless i can send her far far away I think im probably stuck with her, maybe if I listed her with a free mobile phone some nice nigerian chappy would buy her.

Thank you all so much for your replies. Not helpful - my fault - but highly entertaining at this time on a morning! Perhaps your mother would be a more attractive bargain if offered with a free mystery chair!
