I hate to think what t&s would have said if they'd seen me on Sunday:eek:

I walked the dogs and did the horses at the same time.......so somehow got clumps of mud up the back of my *lovely* joggers, bits of hay stuck all over my fleece, horse slobber on my (deliberatly) dark jacket and I swear that I brought have the field home on my boots.....I stripped the minute I got in the door to stick everything in the washer as I was too dirty to go upstairs:D ..and they wonder why I don't wear "nice" clothes around animals?

When I walk the dogs I don't exactly dress up smart! I throw on my scruffy trousers (ie, tracksuit bottoms) and my big coat. I always wear some wellies. There is no point in dressing up walking dogs especially when going through muddy fields and muddy paws and nice clothes don't mix.

What a pair of daft wimmin ! I shan't be giving up my Hunter wellies and my 34 year old never-been-cleaned-sheep-scented Barbour jacket.
.................:)....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

I have specific clothing that are only for dog walking. I don't see any point in ruining my nice clothes out with the dogs. And as my good stuff gets more worn I downgrade it to dog walking and recycle the old walking stuff.

Granted I look a bit better in the summer, when I can just wear a t-shirt and cropped trousers (and my natural beauty has a chance to shine ;) ).

Id hate to have them fiddling with my boobs - lol. I am a scruff I spose but how can you walk dogs in the mud and look like you have stepped out of vogue. It would be no fun for the dogs or me.

I DO so hate it when you meet these "Sunday walkers" out in the country wearing their pristine Hunter wellies and when your dogs run up to greet them they raise their hands in horror and walk away brushing off imaginery mud and hairs from their waxed coats.

I wouldn't mind two women dictating to others if said two women looked something special themselves - these two have about as much good taste in clothes as a dog anyway;) .

As to "dressing up to walk the pooch" - I expect they mean one of those poor little things you shove in a handbag with a nappy on! Someone please shoot those owners:D

Thats allowed :) as long as you dont shoo dogs away.

Its the ones who never venture out all week or winter and then turn out with their perfect clothes and their Burberry hats and are frightened of a bit of mud or poo anywhere near them. Oh and the menfolk always have a walking stick to help them stride manfully along. LOL. I expect its a 20 minute walk and straight into the tasteful pub for them. (We even saw one women in high heels recently!!)
