  • you made a wise choice in not choosing turkington windows they took a deposit from me in August and I haven't heard from them since and no new windows. If I call they promise to ring back and dont. I have sent them a letter requesting installation but have heard nothing yet and that was 2 weeks ago.
  • i had a hard time with turkingtons too, the salesman was great, gave me a price that was better than what i had in my head, turned up roughly 4 weeks later and fitted the windows in 3 days.

problem was the fitter broke a decrotave window and broke 2 bezels. they said they would come back and replace them as soon as the glass was in stock, so i said i would wait to pay them the final 10% until the job was complete.

i phoned 6 times, and my fiancee 3, we were both promised that they would return our calls and get something done, but they never did. they also gave us the impression that only 1 guy was responsible for all after sales querries.

hence a year passed and they still hadn't shown up, and we sold our house complete with broken window and turkington 10% down on a sale.
  • do not use this company,i am waiting over a year for repair of fault
and most likely will have to go to court to resolve problems. i have been
advised by their sales manager court would "be my best bet" used to
    be v reputable not now

It took us a year to get our problems sorted out with Fairco McIlhagga. We had to get the Consumer Advice Centre involved and copy all our correspondence to the Glass & Glazing Federation before they took notice.

Wouldn't touch them with a barge pole.

Currently trying to get Proclad to fix our faded guttering brackets under the guarantee... they keep avoiding us. Time to step it up a gear I think! Again, wouldn't touch them again either.
