H had exactly the same problem on thursday, what I did was to switch off the mains supply to the tv and phone and take out the card, switch back on insert card and hey presto it worked, only problem I have now is with E4 terrible reception sometimes lots os disjointed screens and crackles impossible to watch - anyone else had this and how did you fix it?
I understand the card can get worn out after a few years but mine is less than a year old so that cant be the problem

Aarrgghhh, spent another half hour queueing on the 0800 number only to get a clueless rep who cut me off again whilst trying to put me through to technical.

So gritted my teeth and dialled the 0870 number and went through to disconnections where I spoke to someone HELPFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Shock horror. Is that the only way to get a response out of Sky - threaten to disconnect.

The problem with panansonic boxes is still ongoing and the technical number is jammed with people like me trying to find out what is going on. He said I've got to bear with it and try switching the machine off and on every few hours.
  • I also have the same problem, however call me a conspiracy theorist, but I got a call from Sky last week telling me that my warranty had expired on my box, I have had it for 5 years, and would I like to renew it.

I told Sky that I didn't want to renew and lo and behold, 1 week later, my digibox stops working properly!!!

    Anyone else had the call?

No, no warranty here, and lots of people in the same boat on digital spy and av forums so I don't think your conspiracy theory is watertight ;):)

As of this morning I have rebooted and all is working again. Should I be saying that in a whisper with my fingers crossed, don't want to tempt fate. Try a reboot - yours might also be sorted now.
  • SKy are upgrading TV guide. No listings is happening to a few people I know including me. I have had no proper listing for a week glad that I autoview anything I really want to watch. I think we have just got to wait it out until the upgrades have finished.
:A If I could think of a decent signature I would use one :A

If you are in the same boat as me the best place to look is the digital spy forum, especially this thread

All sounds very dodgy and sky seem to be trying to pass the buck right left and centre.

Rebooting seems to fix mine, but only temporarily, gradually the listings start to disappear again until the next reboot.

My Pansonic box has been doing this for a few days too.It just keeps saying looking for listings and thats all. After a re-boot it seems to be ok for a while.Mine's about 7 years old so maybe they're trying to drum up a bit of buisness. To be honest if mine went I think I 'd get a freeveiw box.

So would I - but think my husband might have something to say about not having Sky Sports anymore ;)

Sky is such a rip off at the best of times, so when something like this happens it really rankles.

Just read that thread sounds like this is a universal problem. If the Sky softwear is affecting the digiboxes surly they have to sort it out or provide us all with a new box?

  • Just vented about Sky Customer "Service" on the vent board, but thought I might ask here in case someone here can succeed where the call centre failed!

I can view the channels fine if I use the channel up/down buttons or I tap in the channel number I want.

But if I try to access the TV Guide to see all the listings, it just says its "searching for listings please wait" and then just hangs there until it flicks back to the channel it was on previously after about 10 minutes.

I've tried turning it off and on, unplugging everything etc and all connections seem fine, but the problem is still there.

After being on the phone to them for over an hour, the numbnut said he was transferring me to somebody else and then cut me off.

We've had the same digibox for nearly 6 years, never had this happen before.

    Anyone?? Please??!!!

Wait till you get to eight years your box will say no satelite signal being received number 29 (which the woman said oh dear thats bad your box has expired!!) a load of rubbish i think.
