This isnt my week so again i must vent my frustration out on all of you.
Been a month since handed in old passports, app forms and all origional docs to the army csgt for new passports cause we're posted.
Had nothing back so rang the passport office today who have confirmed they have never received anything regarding our application for new passports. Problem is you have to submit origional docs so there's old passports, marraige certificate, change of name deed for daughter and court order docs confirming she can change her name. What do i do now, csgt not there today so tomorrow he will get both barrels as far as i'm concerned the army can pay for me to replace all these docs, then still need to get passports.
WHAT IS THERE PROBLEM how do they manage to be so flipping incompetant, everything was in the envelopes is it that hard to do something so easy.
thats not really made me feel better but was worth a try

Where are you posted at the moment?
We are in UK and I just used the Post Office check and send service to renew our daughter's passport and took all the relevant paperwork with me.
I posted it on the Saturday and her new one with the fandangly new chip in arrived the following Wednesday!0 -
based in tidworth, cause the regiment are all moving then the battalion are renewing our passports at the armies expense, hubby went to the csgt this morning and he had no explanation, sometimes think i should have done it myself then put in a claim for the money back.0

I understand now.
We had to renew ours when in Germany once and it took quite a while but theres no alternative.
Hope you get it sorted.0 -
well off to our germany brief this evening, gunna see what he has to say to me as i was standing there when he checked everything and said he would post them that day, if he cant come up with a reason i will draw up an invoice for them when i get home requesting payment for replacement docs see how they like that one, lol0

you should apply for passports ourself then claim them back on JPA when based in the uk. its only when you are based abroad that it goes through the embassy and comes from the units budget direct0

low and behold, he found our passport forms, must of been something the hubby said this morning, they were sent this afternoon. wonder how long they would have sat there had we not asked0

Bloody army administration, I don't know how they get anything done. My boyfriend got back from leave to find someone else in his room, so after a night on his friend's floor, they found him another room. Except he's actually supposed to be in a different room, which is empty, but they haven't yet given him the keys to actually get in there. Now to me this all seems like a pretty simple operation in which the current room could have been missed out altogether, and the boyfriend could have been notified of the room move before getting back on a Sunday night to find that he's homeless when no one's around to sort it out, but obviously I'm just a simple civvy with no concept of how the army works!0

thats ones a new one haven't heard heard of it happening but not surprised, i'd claim back my accomodation charge for the days i was roomless, lol0
