Do we need to pick Spud up off the floor now?

No, I'm fine. I'd much rather know, and deal with it than worry meself sick about the unknown :D
Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches

Snaggles - are you alright? Status report please?
I'm not doing too bad hun thanks - I had a couple of really rough days, been very teary, and feeling ill has made things a lot worse too, but I'm feeling like I've turned a corner.

I can't honestly say it's over for good - I could tell yesterday he was online looking for me (the timing of him coming online was too perfect for it to have been a coincidence - but I was showing offline), and today he did happen to catch me online and we exchanged a few words (he initiated it not me, he tried to flirt a bit, I brushed it aside, it was friendly if a bit awkward). But I'm staying away for now. I am officially a man-free zone. :p

Are you in an actual shop bookie?

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.

I've just taken a really big step. There's an ad on gumtree about offering work for people on disability benefits. It doesn't say much about what it is but I've emailed for more info. I've heard a lot of bad stories about this kind of thing but it could work out well. I don't know if I'm ready for any 'real' work, I do a lot of voluntary and sometimes struggle with that, but there's no harm in asking what it's about.
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.

    Good for you Ames!
You can look through the info for nothing can't you?

Can you check the company out with Trading Standards?

Oh yes Linda. Desk is right in the window so I can watch the world go by. I wish some of it (carefully selected nice people only) would come in now and again. :D

Ames - As well as checking with Trading Standards, once you know the name of the company, have a quick Google to see if people are saying good or bad things about them online too. Good luck though, hope something comes of it. :)

Linda/Bookie - I usually have quite a strong stomach but there's something about teeth that just....well....sets my teeth on edge. :D

Talking of which, is it normal for your teeth to really hurt when you have a cold? It's not like toothache, it's like the tip of each tooth is sort of stinging - very weird.
